Description
The Burn Proof Gear Suppressor Cover Heavy is built around a straightforward problem: suppressors get dangerously hot, and contact burns gear, hands and bystanders. This cover uses two materials to handle that heat load. The outer layer is DuPont Kevlar, rated to 1000°F, which BPG equates to roughly 180 rounds of M855 on full auto. The inner liner is fiberglass mesh sleeving rated to 2000°F, providing a secondary thermal barrier between the can and the Kevlar shell.
The cover is intentionally sized 0.5" longer than the suppressor it fits. That extra length lets the cover cinch around both the front and rear of the can, keeping it from walking or rotating under use. Verify your suppressor's outer diameter does not exceed 1.5" before ordering.

Will this fit my suppressor?
This cover is sized for suppressors up to 1.5" in outer diameter. Confirm your suppressor's OD before ordering. The 6.5" length is intended to wrap a suppressor body of approximately 6", with the extra half inch providing the cinch retention at each end.
Is the Kevlar outer layer the limiting factor on heat?
Yes. The Kevlar shell is rated to 1000°F, while the inner fiberglass liner handles up to 2000°F. In sustained fire scenarios, the Kevlar is the component to monitor. BPG rates the cover as full-auto capable within that 1000°F threshold.
