MultiMount Mic

You already wear ear pro. Why start over just to add comms?

The MultiMount Mic system lets you upgrade your existing electronic hearing protection into a full-blown comms headset — no Frankenstein mods, no duct tape. It mounts with Velcro to the outside of your ear pro and uses a 3.5mm plug to tie into your radio via one of our custom MultiMount PTTs.

This is a purpose-built solution for shooters who want reliable communication without dropping hundreds on full-comm headsets. The mic pairs with a range of PTT adapters for Baofeng, BTECH, and other radios, letting you keep your kit modular, clean, and adaptable to whatever rig you're running.

Upgrade the gear you already trust. Comms made easy.

What is the MultiMount Mic system?

The MultiMount Mic system is a game changer for budget comms. It turns your existing electronic hearing protection into a full comms-capable headset — without replacing the gear you already trust. The mic mounts via hook-and-loop directly to most ear pro and connects with a 3.5mm cable into our custom PTT units, letting you transmit clearly without a dedicated helmet or full-head comms rig. It’s modular, lightweight, and mission-ready — perfect for range days, team drills, or emergency communication when clarity and speed matter. This is the comms upgrade built for people who already run quality ear pro and want to stay adaptable without overspending.

Frequently Asked Questions about the MultiMount Mic System

What does the MultiMount Mic attach to?
The mic attaches via extremely strong dual-lock hook-and-loop (Velcro) to the outside of most electronic ear pro, such as Peltors or Howard Leights. It mounts securely without adhesives or permanent mods.
What radios is the MultiMount Mic compatible with?
It works with Baofeng, BTECH, and other handheld radios when used in combination with our MultiMount PTT units. Just select the right PTT model for your radio connector type.
Can I use the MultiMount Mic with regular headphones?
No — it’s designed to integrate with electronic hearing protection that has a 3.5mm input. Standard headphones won’t offer the proper isolation or durability for radio comms.
Do I need a PTT to use the MultiMount Mic?
Yes. The mic itself connects to a MultiMount PTT unit, which handles the push-to-talk activation and routes your audio into the radio. Without it, you won’t be able to transmit.
Can I run the MultiMount Mic on a helmet setup?
Yes — it’s perfect for helmet-mounted ear pro. The mic stays secure even during movement, and routing the cable along the helmet or rails keeps your setup streamlined and snag-free.
Does the mic block out ambient noise?
No — the mic is designed for clear voice transmission. Your ear pro handles ambient sound control. Most users rely on electronic ear pro’s built-in microphones for situational awareness.
Can I remove the mic easily when not in use?
Yes — the Velcro mount allows quick removal and reattachment. Ideal for switching between live fire, comms training, or using your ear pro as hearing protection only.
Is the MultiMount Mic waterproof?
The mic is water-resistant but not fully submersible. It’s designed for field use, rain, and hard conditions — but avoid total water immersion. Cable connections should be kept dry when possible.
