Description
The SureFire X300 Turbo is the long-range version of SureFire's proven X300 pistol light. Where most weapon lights chase lumens, the Turbo chases reach: it runs 650 lumens through a precision Turbo reflector that produces 66,000 candela, the farthest-throwing beam of any SureFire X-Series handgun light. That tight, high-intensity hot spot lets you positively identify a target much farther out than a flood light can, which is the whole reason this version exists.
That focus is the tradeoff to understand before you buy. The Turbo puts its energy into a concentrated beam for distance rather than spreading it wide. If most of your use is close range and indoors, where you want to light up a whole room, the flood-style X300 Ultra is the easier light. If you want to reach out and identify at distance, the Turbo is the one. More on that comparison below.
Activation is ambidextrous, with paddle switches on both sides for momentary and constant-on, so it works the same regardless of which hand is on the gun. It's built from aerospace aluminum with a Mil-Spec hard-anodized finish, O-ring sealed, and rated IPX7, the same rugged platform the X300 is known for. It runs on two CR123A batteries.
Pick the Right Model: A or B
Like the rest of the X300 line, the Turbo comes in two versions that differ only in how they clamp to your pistol's rail:
- X300T-A (Rail-Lock quick latch): Pull the levers, slide it on, it locks. The right choice for most polymer-frame pistols and the faster on/off option.
- X300T-B (thumbscrew T-slot): Hand-tighten, then a quarter turn with a coin, casing, or flat blade. The version for certain metal-frame guns.
Check your pistol's rail type before ordering if you're unsure. The light is the same either way; only the mount differs.
X300 Turbo vs X300 Ultra
This is the key decision, and here's the honest breakdown. The X300 Ultra is the flood option: more lumens (1,000) with a wide, bright beam for lighting up a room or area at close to medium range. The Turbo is the throw option: fewer lumens (650) but far more candela (66,000 vs 11,300) and much greater reach. Simply put, the Ultra lights up everything near you, the Turbo punches a tight beam way out there. For typical home-defense and close-range pistol use, most people are better served by the Ultra. For maximum identification distance, the Turbo wins. Neither is "better"; they're built for different jobs.
Run a Red Dot With It
Building out a defensive or duty pistol? The X300 Turbo pairs naturally with a slide-mounted red dot like the Holosun 507C X2 or 508T X2, and a light-bearing holster like the Safariland 6354RDSO is cut to fit a Glock running an X300. Keep spare SureFire CR123A batteries on hand.

FAQ
What makes the Turbo different from a regular X300?
The Turbo uses a focused reflector to produce 66,000 candela, far more than the standard X300's beam, giving it much longer reach. It trades some lumens (650 vs the Ultra's 1,000) and flood for that throw.
Should I get the Turbo or the X300 Ultra?
The Ultra is brighter overall with a wide flood beam, better for close to medium range and lighting up a room. The Turbo throws a tight, high-candela beam much farther for distance identification. Most pistol users at typical distances prefer the Ultra; pick the Turbo if maximum reach is your priority.
Should I get the A or B model?
The A (Rail-Lock quick latch) fits most polymer-frame pistols and is faster to mount and remove. The B (thumbscrew) is for certain metal-frame guns. The light is identical; only the clamp differs. Check your pistol's rail before ordering.
What batteries does it use and are they included?
Two CR123A lithium batteries, included. Keep spares on hand for range use and to refresh a carry light.
Will it fit in my holster?
You need a holster cut for a light-bearing pistol with an X300. A duty holster like the Safariland 6354RDSO is built for a Glock with an X300 and optic. Always confirm a holster lists X300 compatibility before relying on it.
