Description
The SureFire M640DFT Dual Fuel Turbo Scout Pro is the long-range version of SureFire's Dual Fuel Scout Light. Where the standard Dual Fuel spreads a hybrid flood beam, the Turbo focuses its output into a tight, high-intensity shaft of light: 100,000 candela reaching out to 632 meters on the included SF18650 rechargeable battery. That's built for one job, positive target identification at extreme distance, and SureFire says it's the farthest-reaching beam of any of their long-gun weapon lights.
It backs that reach with runtime, which is the part people miss. On the SF18650 it runs 2.75 hours, the longest runtime of any SureFire long-gun light, so you get distance and endurance rather than trading one for the other. And it's dual fuel: run the included SF18650 rechargeable for full 700-lumen, 100,000-candela output, or drop in two CR123A primaries for 600 lumens and 90,000 candela when you need shelf-stable backup power. The tightly focused beam also has minimal bounce-back when you're working over, under, or around barricades, which is exactly where a flood light washes you out.
It mounts with SureFire's Low-Profile Mount, which positions the light precisely on the rail and ships with cleats for both MIL-STD-1913 picatinny and M-LOK. The body is aerospace aluminum, Mil-Spec hard anodized, O-ring sealed, and IPX7 rated. Activation is the included ZE68 momentary/constant-on pushbutton tailcap with a protective shroud. See the Dual Fuel note below before adding a remote switch, and browse the full weapon lights and switches selection.
Turbo vs Standard Dual Fuel
If you're choosing between this and the standard M640DF Dual Fuel, here's the honest call. This Turbo is the throw option: 100,000 candela in a tight beam for long-range identification, plus the longest runtime in the line. The standard Dual Fuel is the flood option: more lumens spread into a wider hybrid beam (1,500 vs 700) that lights up a whole area at close to medium range. If you want to reach way out and identify at distance, the Turbo. If you want broad, room-filling light up close, the standard Dual Fuel. Different tools for different jobs.
Add a Remote Switch
Want to run a tape switch instead of the rear pushbutton? You'll need to swap the tailcap and add a switch. Important: to get full high output from a remote switch on this Dual Fuel light, you need SureFire's UEE cap, not the standard UE cap. The standard UE tailcap works on this light only when running CR123A primaries, because the high-output 18650 mode requires the UEE's different spring and chip. Once you have the right cap, a tape switch like the SureFire ST07 plugs in, and the Magpul M-LOK tape switch mount keeps the pad positioned on your rail. See the full remote switches selection for more options.
Other Scout Lights We Carry
If you want flood instead of throw, the standard M640DF or the single-fuel M640U Scout Pro are the options. For a smaller, lighter throw light, the M340DFT Turbo Mini shrinks the footprint. Keep spare CR123A batteries on hand as backup fuel.

FAQ
What makes the Turbo different from the standard Dual Fuel?
The Turbo focuses its output into a tight, high-candela beam (100,000 candela, 632m) for long-range identification, and it has the longest runtime in the line at 2.75 hours. The standard Dual Fuel is brighter overall (1,500 lumens) with a wide flood beam for close to medium range. Pick the Turbo for distance, the standard for spread.
What does "Dual Fuel" mean?
It runs on either the included SF18650 rechargeable battery or two CR123A lithium primaries. You get full output (700 lumens, 100,000 candela, 632m, 2.75-hour runtime) on the SF18650, and reduced output on CR123A as a shelf-stable backup.
What rails does it fit?
The Low-Profile Mount includes cleats for both MIL-STD-1913 picatinny and M-LOK, so it mounts to most modern handguards without an adapter.
Can I run it on a tape switch?
Yes, but for full high output from a remote switch you need SureFire's UEE cap. The standard UE cap works only when the light is running CR123A primaries. After installing the correct cap, the SR07 or ST07 tape switches plug in.
Is the rechargeable battery included?
Yes, it ships with the SF18650. The full output, runtime, and beam distance figures require that battery; on CR123A you get the reduced numbers.
