Description
The Radian Raptor-LT is the lighter, lower-cost version of Radian's Raptor ambidextrous charging handle. It works the same way the standard Raptor does: a full-size latch on both sides of the rifle, tied together internally, so you can charge from the strong side or the support side using your thumb and fingers or by slapping it open with your palm. The difference from the original is in the build.
Where the standard Raptor is all 7075 aluminum, the Raptor-LT starts with the same 7075 aluminum core and MILSPEC Type III hard-anodized finish, then over-molds the latches with high-strength, fiberglass-reinforced polymer. The polymer cuts weight and cost while the aluminum core carries the load, so you get the same ambidextrous function in a lighter, cheaper package. For a lot of builds, especially weight-conscious ones, that's the trade people want.
The practical reason to run any ambidextrous handle holds here: a standard milspec charging handle only has a latch on the left side, which is awkward to reach behind an optic or work one-handed during a malfunction. The Raptor-LT's support-side latch fixes that, and even right-handed shooters get easier one-handed manipulation out of it. The latches are large and textured so you can find and run them in the dark, with gloves, or with wet hands.
It installs like any AR-15 charging handle with no modification, and it fits standard milspec AR-15/M16 uppers. It comes in black, flat dark earth, and grey, all matched to standard Magpul color offerings so it blends with the rest of a Magpul-equipped build. LT vs Standard Raptor
The choice between this and the standard Radian Raptor comes down to material. The standard Raptor is all aluminum, a bit heavier and a bit more expensive. The Raptor-LT uses polymer-overmolded latches to drop weight and cost while keeping the same ambidextrous function. If you want the lightest, most affordable Raptor, this is it. If you want all-metal latches, get the standard. For suppressed rifles, the Raptor-SD ports gas away from your face, and the Raptor-SD-SL combines that with a slimmer profile.

FAQ
What's the difference between the Raptor-LT and the standard Raptor?
The standard Raptor is all 7075 aluminum. The Raptor-LT keeps the aluminum core but over-molds the latches with fiberglass-reinforced polymer, making it lighter and less expensive. Both have the same ambidextrous function and install the same way.
Does the Raptor-LT fit my AR-15?
Yes, if you have a standard milspec AR-15 or M16 upper. It installs exactly like the charging handle already in your rifle, with no modification.
Is it useful for right-handed shooters?
Yes. The support-side latch makes it easier to charge the rifle and clear malfunctions without breaking your firing grip or reaching over the optic, regardless of which hand is dominant.
Will the polymer latches hold up?
The latches are fiberglass-reinforced polymer over a 7075 aluminum core, so the metal carries the structural load while the polymer saves weight. It's built for normal hard use.
What colors does it come in?
Black, flat dark earth, and grey, all matched to standard Magpul color offerings so it blends with a Magpul-equipped build.
