Description
The Magpul TMAG GEN M3 is a 30-round STANAG-compatible magazine chambered for 5.56x45 NATO and .223 Remington. The body is molded from a translucent olive drab material, letting you verify round count and ammunition type at a glance without removing the magazine from the weapon. The sides are intentionally left smooth to maximize that visibility, while ribbed front and rear straps give you positive purchase during mag changes.
Internally, the TMAG shares the same geometry as the rest of the GEN M3 family. A four-way anti-tilt follower and a USGI-spec stainless-steel spring with a painted coil handle feeding. The painted coil functions as a low-round indicator, carrying forward the gas-gauge concept from Magpul's Window magazine line. Round-count markings are molded into the body and remain readable when the magazine is seated in the well.
The bottom of the body includes paint-pen dot matrix panels for unit or personal markings. The low-profile floorplate is compatible with the full PMAG AR/M4 GEN M3 floorplate accessory line.

The TMAG is optimized for Colt-spec AR15/M4 platforms. Modified internal and external geometry also allows use in the HK 416, MR556A1, M27 IAR, and FN SCAR MK 16/16S, among others. Verify fitment for non-standard or heavily modified lower receivers before issuing or stocking in quantity.
What is the difference between the TMAG and a standard PMAG GEN M3?
The TMAG uses a translucent body that allows visual round count and ammunition verification. The PMAG GEN M3 uses an opaque polymer body. Internal geometry and accessory compatibility are shared across the GEN M3 family.
