Description

The Magpul PMAG D-60 AR/M4 GEN M3 holds 60 rounds of 5.56x45 NATO or .223 Remington in a drum configuration designed around practical use. The drum profile keeps overall height low enough for prone firing and seated storage in a chest rig or pack, solving the main problem that sticks at this round count cannot. Two standard 30-round magazines worth of ammunition without a reload or a mag change.

The drum seats fully loaded on a closed bolt, which matters on a fighting rifle where a dry reload should be the same muscle memory as any other. Bolt hold open on the last round is retained. The ratcheting loading lever takes spring tension off during loading so you are not fighting the spring to top it off. The feed tower is compatible with most standard loading devices.

Construction is impact and crush resistant polymer throughout. All components are corrosion resistant. A rear translucent window gives a quick read on rounds remaining without counting. A paint pen dot matrix panel on the back of the body allows for unit or owner marking.

Compatible with AR-15 and M4 pattern rifles as well as a broad range of NATO-compatible platforms including the SCAR MK16/16S, HK416, MR556, M27 IAR, and IWI Tavor. Verify fitment on any non-standard lower before running this in a duty or competition context.

Is the drum significantly heavier or bulkier than a standard 30-round PMAG?
The drum profile is wider and heavier than a stick magazine by definition. The design keeps height lower than a straight 60-round stick would require, which is the tradeoff Magpul made to keep prone shooting viable. Plan your kit around the added width when running a chest rig or plate carrier.

Does it work with standard AR lowers?
It is designed for AR-15 and M4 compatible weapons. Compatibility with non-standard or aftermarket lowers should be confirmed before fielding.
