Description
The Holosun 507 Pro Max is an open-emitter pistol optic built around a larger viewing window than the standard 507 series. That extra window real estate is the core reason to choose this over its siblings. More glass means faster dot acquisition under stress, particularly for shooters running a thumbs-forward grip that tends to crowd a smaller window.
The forward-leaning sunshade is a functional addition, not cosmetic. It blocks overhead and angled light that would otherwise wash out the reticle in bright conditions, keeping the dot visible without forcing you to crank brightness.
The Performance Reticle System gives you a 2 MOA dot, plus selectable 8, 20, and 32 MOA circles depending on your engagement need. Use the dot for precision, run the circle for speed at contact distance. The optic ships on an RMR footprint, so it drops onto any slide or mount cut for Trijicon RMR.
Power management is handled by Solar Failsafe and Shake Awake. The solar cell extends runtime in ambient light; Shake Awake keeps the optic off until movement is detected. The CR1632 battery loads from a side tray, meaning you never break zero to swap cells. Lockout Mode prevents accidental brightness changes from holster pressure or gear contact.
Housing is 7075-T6 aluminum with an anodized finish. Available in red, green, or gold reticle. Verify fitment with your specific slide cut before ordering.

What is the difference between the red, green, and gold reticle options?
The reticle color is the only difference between variants. Green tends to read well in low-contrast outdoor environments. Red is the most common and works across a wide range of conditions. Gold offers a high-contrast alternative for shooters who find it easier to pick up against specific backgrounds. All three share identical features and specs.
Does the sunshade affect holster compatibility?
The forward-leaning sunshade extends the profile of the optic. Confirm that your holster is cut to accommodate the 507 Pro Max specifically, as standard 507 holsters may not clear the sunshade geometry.
