Description

The EOTECH EFLX is EOTECH's first reflex red dot, and they brought the thing that made their holographic sights distinctive: the window. Instead of the small round or oval glass most mini reflex sights use, the EFLX has a large, square-ish viewing window shaped like the one on an EXPS or 512. If you've spent time behind an EOTECH holographic sight, the sight picture feels familiar the moment you get behind it, and the dot is fast and easy to find. It's built for pistols, works as a 1x offset option on rifles with magnified optics, and handles duty use, hunting, and home defense.

It comes with a 3 MOA or 6 MOA aiming dot, and that's a real choice worth thinking about. The 3 MOA dot is the finer aiming point for precision and longer-range accuracy, and it's the better pick for rifles and competition. The 6 MOA dot is bigger, faster to pick up, and more visible in close-quarters work, which is why a lot of people run it on a defensive pistol. Neither is better; they're built for different jobs.

The practical details are well thought out. The CR2032 battery loads from the top, so you can swap it without pulling the optic off your slide and re-zeroing, which is the single most annoying thing about bottom-load mini reflex sights. Runtime is roughly 25,000 hours with the 3 MOA dot or 20,000 with the 6 MOA, at a middle brightness setting. Brightness runs 7 daytime settings plus a dedicated ultra-bright setting for harsh sunlight, and one night vision setting compatible with Gen I through III+ devices. Adjustment is 1 MOA per click. The housing is 6061 aluminum, and it weighs just 1.4 oz. It's assembled in the USA and backed by EOTECH's 10-year warranty.

Read this before you order: the EFLX uses the Leupold DeltaPoint Pro footprint, not the RMR footprint. That matters, because most mini reflex optics in this class (including all the Holosun 507C/407C-pattern dots) are RMR-pattern. If your pistol slide is milled for DeltaPoint Pro, the EFLX mounts directly. If it's cut for RMR or another footprint, you'll need the correct adapter plate. It also mounts to a rear dovetail adapter if your slide isn't optics-cut at all. Check your slide's cut before ordering, and reach out if you're not sure. We carry it in black and tan, in both 3 MOA and 6 MOA. Browse the rest of our red dots and optics.

3 MOA or 6 MOA?

The dot size changes how the optic behaves. 3 MOA covers about 3 inches at 100 yards, a finer aiming point that lets you place precise shots at distance without the dot obscuring your target. It's the choice for rifles, competition, and anyone prioritizing accuracy. 6 MOA is a bigger, brighter, more obvious dot that your eye picks up faster under stress and in low light, at the cost of some precision at distance. It's the popular choice for defensive pistols and close-quarters work. If you're torn: precision, go 3 MOA; speed, go 6 MOA.

Protect the Glass

The EFLX's large window is one of its best features, and worth protecting. The CovertArms EOTECH EFLX ARD is a honeycomb anti-reflection device cut specifically for the EFLX that cuts glare and adds lens protection.

Other EOTECH Optics We Carry

If you're building an EOTECH rifle setup, the EXPS3 is the night-vision-capable holographic flagship, the XPS2 is the compact daylight holographic sight, and the 512 is the AA-powered budget-friendly option. Pair any of them with the G33 or G45 magnifier.

FAQ

Will it fit my pistol?
The EFLX uses the Leupold DeltaPoint Pro footprint. If your slide is milled for DPP, it mounts directly. If your slide is cut for the RMR footprint or another pattern, you'll need the correct adapter plate. It can also mount to a rear dovetail adapter if your slide isn't optics-ready. Check your slide's cut before ordering.

Should I get the 3 MOA or 6 MOA dot?
3 MOA is finer, better for precision and longer-range shots, and the choice for rifles and competition. 6 MOA is larger and faster to acquire, better for close-quarters and defensive pistol use. Precision leans 3, speed leans 6.

Can I change the battery without removing the optic?
Yes. The CR2032 loads from the top, so you don't have to unmount the optic and re-zero to swap it. That's one of the EFLX's better practical features.

Is it night vision compatible?
Yes. It has 7 daytime brightness settings, a dedicated ultra-bright setting for harsh sunlight, and one night vision setting compatible with Gen I through III+ night vision devices.

How does it look if I have astigmatism?
Owners with astigmatism report the EFLX's dot reads clean and round rather than smeared or starburst, which isn't always the case with reflex sights. Individual results vary with the degree of astigmatism, but it's a common point of praise for this optic.

Can I use it on a rifle?
Yes. EOTECH designed it to work as a 1x option on rifles with magnified optics, typically mounted offset so you can transition to it for close-range targets.

How long does the battery last?
Roughly 25,000 hours with the 3 MOA dot and 20,000 hours with the 6 MOA dot, at a mid-range brightness setting, on a single CR2032.
