Description
The SureFire SFCT-556-1/2-28 is a closed-tine flash hider designed to serve two functions: it works as a standalone muzzle device and as a precision mounting adapter for SureFire SOCOM Fast-Attach suppressors. The closed-tine profile closely resembles a traditional birdcage flash hider, so the host weapon retains a conventional appearance when no suppressor is mounted.
The adapter is CNC-machined from heat-treated stainless steel and finished in DLC coating. That combination resists gas and particle erosion at the muzzle face, which matters on a device that sees suppressor attachment and removal cycles over its service life. Multiple bearing surfaces control suppressor alignment relative to the bore, which is the critical function on any Fast-Attach host device. Wrench flats are included for straightforward installation. Threaded 1/2x28 for .223 Remington and 5.56 NATO barrels. Designed and manufactured in the USA.
