Description
The Holosun AEMS EVO is an enclosed rifle sight built around a 7075-T6 aluminum housing with a 1.26 x 0.98 inch viewing window. That window size is the point. More glass means less hunting for the dot when you come up on target fast. The enclosed design protects the emitter and lens from debris and impact without adding significant bulk.
The reticle system gives you a 2 MOA dot for precision work and a 65 MOA circle for close-range speed. Use either or both, depending on what the situation calls for. Available in red, green, or gold. Green and gold offer higher perceived brightness in specific lighting conditions, particularly outdoors in daylight. Choose based on your typical environment and what your eye picks up fastest.
- 2 MOA dot and 65 MOA circle reticle system
- 1.26 x 0.98 inch viewing window
- Automatic brightness with forward-facing light sensor
- Solar Failsafe keeps the optic running if the battery fails
- Shake Awake powers down when stationary, wakes on movement
- CR2032 battery, up to 100,000-hour rated runtime
- 7075-T6 aluminum housing, anodized black finish
- IPX8 waterproof rating, 1000G vibration rated
- 1x magnification
The automatic brightness sensor reads ambient light and adjusts the reticle accordingly, which removes one manual variable in a dynamic environment. Solar Failsafe adds a secondary power source so a dead battery does not leave you with a dark optic. Shake Awake handles standby automatically, so the sight is live when you pick it up.
What is the tradeoff between reticle colors?
Green and gold diodes typically require more power than red at equivalent brightness settings, which can affect battery life at high output levels. Under the 100,000-hour rating, the variance is not operationally significant for most users, but red remains the most power-efficient choice if extended runtime without Solar Failsafe is a priority.
Does this use a proprietary mount footprint?
Verify mounting footprint compatibility with your specific rifle or mount before ordering. Holosun uses its own footprint on the AEMS platform.
