Baofeng UV-5R Case

If you’re running a Baofeng UV5R or UV5R8W radio, this is the case built to keep your radio protected and functional without adding bulk. It locks in securely using our PTT Guard system (required) and gives you a clean, rugged, and durable shell to protect from falls and hits. This case easily clips onto your radio using the Covert Arms PTT Guard (required for proper use).

Why This Exists

Most radio cases we came across for the UV5R were build using cheap 3d printed material that cracked on install and, if it survived that, as soon as it took a hit. Many of these cases were also designed with no regard to tight radio pouches which prevent both the case and the radio from being carried. This one is made to keep your UV-5R alive when it hits pavement, rocks, or the floorboard of your truck without adding unnecessary bulk.

Field Notes

We’ve had this case take multiple drops on concrete and gravel during range days and still keep the radio functional. It's tight enough to feel like part of the radio, and tough enough that you stop worrying about babying your comms gear.

Install Notes

This case clips directly onto the PTT Guard, which acts as the mounting base. If you’re not using the guard, the case won’t attach correctly. The full combo (radio + PTT Guard + case) gives you protection and mic control in one clean system.
